So... I am currently blowing off that essay.  Again.  Actually, I AM going to work on it tonight--mostly because it's due tomorrow.  But the two people I'm working with, one of them is going to call me in a little bit, and then I'm going to 3-way the other, and we're going to work on it together, and it's going to be muy wonderful, because Mr. Liscio outlined the whole thing for me.  He's a pushover.  I really do feel bad about it, though...

But not bad enough not to use the outline. 

So it's really weird, liking somebody and wanting to tell them.  Because it could go so many fricking ways.

Option 1: They don't like you and they pull the "Let's just be friends" card.  Which, I'll admit, kinda sucks, but I can deal with that. 

Option 2: They say, "Ew, that's gross" and are so weirded out that they don't want to talk to you anymore because it's too awkward, and they think you're still fawning over them.  Which I would hate beyond all possible reason, because I like this guy too much for him to just drop me like a hot potato.  Not that he ever picked me up in the first place.

Option 3: They say, "Well, why didn't you say so earlier?  I like you too!" And you go out and have a good time and like each other for a while and then fall apart because hey, it's high school, and we teenagers are at the mercy of our hormones.

You know what I've just come to the conclusion of?

Love kinda stinks.

I am very sad.  Our vacation is almost over.... it was such a beautiful, lazy week, and now it's gone... and I still have three projects to complete.

Oops.

Anyways, hope everybody had a very Happy Thanksgiving, with very much pumpkin pie and turkey and all that good stuff.  I know I did, hanging out with my family and KILLING my little brother at Scrabble (it was a long and bloody battle, but I prevailed in the end, oh yes I did....)

So now we're back home, and I'm procrastinating.... and I'm perfectly okay with that.  At some point today, I've got to get into the backyard and clean up doggy doodoo (more procrastination!  Hurray!) and I would like to write some.  In a week, all I've written on AKoFT is two pages, and they weren't very good.  I'll have to rework them at some point, because in those two pages is a really important scene.  But I am once again on the brink of a very exciting scene which will propel the plot along wonderfully, so I'll have to get to it. 

Well, I'd better go.  Lots to do; backyards to clean, basements to paint, Solitaire to play, projects to neglect.  Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving!  Later days!

You fool! Noble Gases Always Win!

Hey guys!  Not much on this end.  Carey just left--it was great, we finished our Chemistry video.  Noble Gas Man vs. Superman.... with aluminum foil and a helium balloon.  Hilarity ensues.  So now I get to finish the brochure all on my lonesome... but that's okay--Carey has a softball tournament tomorrow so she'll be really busy. 

Speaking of tournaments, our Varsity Academic Team is no longer undefeated.  (glowers) We've lost our last two games against Hiram and East Paulding.  I don't like that... I don't like being beaten at my own game.  Makes me mucho angry-o.  Oh well--we're just going to have to work harder.  We're still tied for first, but one more lost match and we could lose our standing.

One Act is finally OVER!  I miss it!  The competition was last week--we got fifth place, AND second-best script, AND audience favorite!  Know the best part?  Our Drama teacher, Mr. McPherson, WROTE our play!  He wrote the play we're doing for Christmas too--it's called Shoestring Theater.  Look it up--if you find the right place you can read the first fourteen pages; they're hysterical.  I can't wait to try out.  It's going to be a blast. 

In other news, poor Pip has been stuck in a tree for THREE WEEKS because I've been suffering from WRITER'S BLOCK and haven't been able to sit down at all!  I'd do it now, but I'm dog-tired and I'm wondering why I'm even bothering to update this thing at all--so few people update theirs anymore.  Whatever.  I'm going to sit down and write a bit tomorrow, finally.  Tonight I'm just going to snuggle down into the covers and read....
